My name is Jim Hunt. I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. It was in 1987 that I was introduced to the swimming pool business. While working at a local resort maintaining multiple swimming pools and spas, I saw a need in the pool industry for trustworthy and reliably trained pool professionals. That’s when I started Jim Hunt Pools. I have now successfully been in the swimming pool and spa service business for over 30 years and I believe that when it comes to your pool or spa, you should to be focused on fun and relaxation while I focus on maintaining your investment.

We pride ourselves in having the best service for residential clients and commercial clients alike, as well as real estate agents, property managers, and resorts. We stay current with the ever-changing industry by attending classes and training sessions on a regular basis, continuously being updated on all aspects of water chemistry, pool equipment, plumbing, heaters and other innovations. I am water chemistry certified through the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. You can think of us as your pool technology experts. I am a past-president of the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association (IPSSA) of Kern County, and since 2002, the current president of The United Pool Association (UPA) of Kern County.

 

Over the past 30 years I have gained extensive experience working with the State of California maintaining and servicing Cal State University swimming pools and also working with the city of Bakersfield, California maintaining and consulting with park pools and fountains. More recently I assisted the world renowned builder Pacific Aquascapes of Southern California with a major fountain project at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, CA. My clientele includes residential pool owners, real estate agents (pool inspections), churches, high schools, hotels, apartment complexes and condominiums in and around Bakersfield.
